Wraparound Care and Activities
Children grow up too quickly and we want those at Castle Court to have a real childhood. This is why we aim to make life at Castle Court fun and packed full of activity.
We offer a range of wraparound care and activities, including before-school care, and after-school care. Hopefully this film will help you begin to appreciate the depth and variety of after school activities on offer to the children in our care.
Before-school care
Breakfast Club, which starts at 7:45am, is free of charge to Year 1 upwards. Children from EYFS (Reception, Badgers and Badger Cubs) are welcome by special arrangement, in which case a small charge is made.
The children are given cereal, juice and toast in the dining room where they are supervised by teachers.
At 8:15am the older children are given the responsibility of taking the younger children to their classrooms where they start their school day.
After-school care
Badgers - Year 2
At the end of the school day, the children gather in the Badgers’ classroom and are given a chance to sit quietly, play or watch television to slowly unwind at the end of a busy school day. Some children are picked up or take the bus home at 4:15pm. Those who are staying until 4:45pm have tea in the Badger Cubs room, consisting of sandwiches, home-made cakes and juice.
Children who need to stay later then go back to the Pre-Prep where they participate in informal activities such as making jigsaws, playing board games, going to the school library or having creative fun. The latest collection time is 5:45pm.
A fee applies for after-school care from 4:15pm onwards.
